Working with families, siblings and circles of support is at the heart of MacIntyre’s approach. We are committed to working alongside families, recognising that each family is unique and that each family will need to be supported in a person-centred way.
MacIntyre’s Family Charter has been created in partnership with families to support families, circles of support and our staff. It will help to provide clarity, reassurance and empathy and will aim to support developing relationships between MacIntyre staff and families.
The document will be an essential tool to help families and MacIntyre staff to consider the key elements of building and maintaining positive relationships, leading to better outcomes for the people we support. It will be reviewed every year to ensure it is a current and meaningful resource.
Nicola Payne, MacIntyre's Family Engagement Consultant said:
"I am excited to be launching the Family Charter at MacIntyre, as I know it will help many families and staff to work together. The Family Charter will help expectations to be defined and ensure communication is effective as relationships develop."
