Working in Wales

A career in Social Care is a rewarding experience that offers many different roles, supporting many different groups of people. As a leading employer in our sector we are always looking for fantastic individuals to join our teams across the country. Before you join us, ready for your training and starting a new journey, we will have completed our safeguarding checks as part of the pre-employment process.

For our services in Wales, which are currently based around the Wrexham area, as part of our checks there is the requirement for all workers in Social Care to be registered with Social Care Wales.

Are you registered with Social Care Wales?

If you are currently registered then this is simply a case of you changing your employer on your registration.

If you are not registered and wish to apply for a job working in Social Care in Wales this is allowed, and you will need to obtain registration within 6 months of starting work with us, which we will support you in working towards.

Code of Practice

The registration scheme was introduced to support staff working in the Social Care sector by ensuring they are physically and mentally fit to practice, have the correct character and competence, are appropriately qualified and all following the same code of practice.

The registration scheme, along with our outstanding training and development will allow people working for us to become the best they can at their role, feel supported and ultimately give the best care, working towards the best outcomes for the people we support.
