Are you looking for a place for someone to call home? We currently have spare rooms in a number of areas.
For Adults
Across England and Wales MacIntyre is commissioned by over 68 Councils and Integrated Care Boards (ICBs) to offer support and care to over 750 adults. In addition our ‘Great Communities’ in Warrington, ‘Our Voice’ in Hertfordshire and Everyone Everywhere activities connect with hundreds of people in local communities.
MacIntyre offers a range of accommodation and support options for adults aged 19 or over with learning disabilities and/or autistic people in England and Wales. We spend time getting to know people’s ambitions and aspirations and ensure everyone has choice and control over their lives. We put people at the heart of everything we do. MacIntyre invests in, and helps shape, the areas in which people live, to be inclusive and welcoming spaces for everyone.

You may hear the following terms when talking about support to live at home:
- Registered Care – this is where accommodation and support are offered as one package. The property may be managed by MacIntyre or by a housing association.
- Accommodation with nursing support – in Hertfordshire MacIntyre offers support for adults who may also have significant health needs
- Supported Living – offering a more flexible approach as it allows people to keep their support arrangements and billing separate from their living or rental agreements. The house or flat may be shared or the person may choose to live alone. Each person living in the house has a tenancy agreement with the landlord.
- Outreach – offers support in, or from, the person’s home. Support can range from a few hours a week through to a varied package of daily support. This flexible support gives the opportunity to plan exactly when, where and how support is required.
- Shared Lives – where a person lives as part of a family; this may be on a full-time, part-time or short breaks basis. MacIntyre offers Shared Lives in Warrington
- Homes Not Hospitals – MacIntyre offers support for people who may have spent time in in-patient or secure units using the Supported Living model. We currently offer this in the Greater Manchester area but are able to offer this in other geographic areas.
MacIntyre is registered with the Care Quality Commission and Care Inspectorate Wales for all the accommodation based support that we offer. Every person who draws on MacIntyre’s support is funded by the relevant local authority, ICB or via Direct Payments.
