Jess, who is supported by MacIntyre, is raising money for Cancer Research UK in memory of her grandparents. Starting on Monday 26 April Jess, 21, will be undertaking a sponsored walk, tackling 7 miles in 7 days, with support from her MacIntyre Shared Lives carer, Andrea.
Jess is an inspirational young woman, who is determined to make a difference. After the loss of her grandparents to cancer, shortly before her 21st birthday, Jess knew she wanted to set herself a challenge.
Speaking about Jess, her grandfather Ian said:
"Jess is a bright and bubbly young lady who has no qualms about speaking her mind whenever she wants to. That said, she lives life at a hundred miles an hour! She loves animals, trains and shopping."
