A BIG Thank You

11 December 2020
News

After a jam-packed week full of virtual events, we are overjoyed to share that thanks to our generous supporters and our champion funder The Reed Foundation, our Big Give Christmas Challenge total for 2020 is £5,358.70.

This is the first year MacIntyre has taken part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge and we are so grateful for your kind gifts and support which enabled us to exceed our original fundraising target of £4,000.

All of the funds raised will help to purchase digital devices for people we support across England and Wales, helping them to stay connected to loved ones and feel included in online activities.

How did we get here?

It may have been our first time taking part in The Big Give Christmas Challenge, but we certainly didn't hold back!

We launched the challenge on 1 December with the support of The Queen's Gambit and Love Actually star Thomas Brodie-Sangster, held a silent auction, welcomed Niraj Kapur as the guest speaker at our virtual networking event MacIntyre's Meet Up and opened our first Virtual Christmas Fair...all in the first day of the challenge!

We followed up with a successful Gameathon and finished with our Virtual Christmas Concert, with incredible performances from Jack Montgomery, Nigel Hammond, Emily Haig and the people we support.

We would like to thank every one of our supporters who kindly donated to help us with this challenge and to those of you who helped us to spread the word.
