For the past nine weeks, Bailey has been volunteering at the Byerley Springs Stables. His daily tasks involve grooming, mucking out and feeding the horses. Volunteering at the stables means so much to Bailey as he loves animals and it makes him feel good knowing that he can look after them. The staff have also been very helpful in teaching Bailey everything he needs to know in a way that he can easily understand. He has learnt so much by volunteering with animals, he is now affectionately known as ‘The Encyclopaedia’. Having the confidence to ask questions relevant to what he is doing has not only helped Bailey increase his knowledge, but also improve his communication and independence.
