Getting Involved in 2020

3 January 2020
News

With the festive season behind us and a brand new year in full swing, what better time to make a difference than by volunteering with us.

Whether you are thinking of volunteering with us at one of our upcoming events or by sharing your skills or interests with the people we support, we would love to hear from you.

Here's what we have to say about our current volunteers...

"Dewi devotes much of his free time to MacIntyre, giving two days a week to support and enhance the opportunities we provide. He spends one day as part of a group and the other session supporting an individual to pursue his passion for bird-watching and nature."

"Rosie's gentle, calming and happy demeanour sets a lovely tone for the whole centre whenever she arrives and she has formed a wonderful bond with the people we support. She is incredibly attentive and clearly respects and values each and every person with whom she comes into contact. Rosie volunteers once a week without exception and gives freely of her time and love."

"Our fundraising team is small, so the three hours which Jean gives every week really make a difference.

Jean has strong computer and administrative skills and has become responsible for collating our Gift Aid information, generating additional income from donation; as well as using her attention to detail to proof read some of our key documents. Jean has a real ‘can do’ attitude and is a great addition to the team.”

Volunteer at events

Want to help us out but can’t be tied down to a regular slot? We’re always looking for volunteers to support us at events large and small. You might welcome guests at an event, sell raffle tickets, or pack bags in your local supermarket. You sign up and we call when we need you! A few hours a year can make a huge difference to what we can achieve.
