As part of MacIntyre Warrington’s Great Communities Eco Project at The Old School, volunteers Sarah and Lewis created a bird box and a bird feeder. This was cleverly put together from some of the spare bits of pallet and decking, along with the help of our creative artist Emma who added the finishing touches on a delightfully colourful dream catcher made from recycled milk cartons.
Following the success of the bird box and bird feeder, Sarah and Lewis used some more old scraps of wood to make some simple Bee houses, which are now affixed to the side garden walls with the help of Rich. It will undoubtedly attract a plenty of new insects, birds, and other creatures in the near future, and it has completely transformed an old overgrown and unused space.
A truly outstanding job to everyone involved!
