Keeping Safe in Derbyshire

12 July 2018
News

The Keeping Safe Project has been working with Derbyshire County Council to produce an easy read document on domestic abuse.

Funded by Derbyshire County Council, the Keeping Safe Project aims to support adults with a learning disability to enhance their community safety.

The document provides an easy read definition of domestic abuse and covers signs of abuse and how to report it to the police.

MacIntyre’s Training and Development Officer and Learning Support Worker Carole Hodgson, who is part of The Keeping Safe Project, said:

“It’s vital that people understand the signs of domestic abuse. If they think that they may be being abused, they shouldn’t keep quiet. Always tell someone if you think something is wrong.”

The document is available to download below.
