At MacIntyre, we are on a mission to identify people with learning disabilities and/or autism who are losing the support they once relied on as a result of cuts, leaving them feeling isolated and uncertain about their futures.
We are helping people to identify their strengths and connect them with their local communities through our 'Great Communities Project', which recently launched in Worcestershire after continued success in Warrington.
From Monday 2 March to Wednesday 4 March, we are holding our very own ‘public living room' within the Kingfisher Shopping Centre in Redditch to get people in the community talking; encouraging inclusion and promoting the importance of working together to ensure no one is left behind.
Speaking about the upcoming event Jade O’Connor, Great Communities Coordinator for Worcestershire said:
"Our 'Public Living Room' will be a safe and inclusive place where people can get to know one another and make connections; meeting people they may not naturally come across and have the courage to speak to."
