Positive Behaviour Support Team Expansion

5 August 2022
News

We are expanding our team of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) specialists to help support young people, their teams and families by helping to reduce significant barriers to wellbeing, learning – leading to living a life that makes sense to them.

PBS is a framework defined by its commitment to understanding why people behave the way they do and doing so through the use of contextual behavioural theory. PBS is about learning how a person's behaviour develops over time, as well as understanding the value it has on the individual. It uses this understanding to seek opportunities to learn and support environments where barriers to learning are reduced.

Do you feel you can make a difference and have extensive experience in supporting people who have a learning disability, or autistic people? Then join our team as a Positive Behaviour Support Lead.

Based at our School and Children’s Homes in Wingrave, near Aylesbury, you’ll also provide support to our Children’s Homes in Leighton Buzzard and St Albans.

You will be part of a wider specialist team with a real role in providing a universal offer in line with our DNA and curriculum. Additionally you will oversee and provide support for a flexible caseload of children and young people, who at times may need a little extra specialist focus.

More about Positive Behaviour Support

Positive Behaviour Support

A Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) approach involves focusing on improving a person’s quality of life and understanding the reasons behind any behaviours.
