In Bedfordshire, MacIntyre offers:
Westoning Manor in Bedfordshire was the site of MacIntyre’s first property in the 1960s; we are proud of our past and still have three purpose-built homes in the original walled garden.
MacIntyre offers a range of accommodation and support options for 16 adults aged 19 or over with learning disabilities and/or autistic people in Westoning and Ampthill. We spend time getting to know people’s ambitions and aspirations and ensure everyone has choice and control over their lives.
Across Bedfordshire MacIntyre is rated Good with the Care Quality Commission.
We put people at the heart of everything we do. MacIntyre invests in, and helps shape, the areas in which people live, to be inclusive and welcoming spaces for everyone.
MacIntyre’s Lifelong Learning hubs in Bedford and Ampthill are more than just somewhere to go, they are places where people’s skills, gifts, and interests shape days full of connection, learning, and purpose. Across Bedfordshire we offer Registered Care, Supported Living, Lifelong Learning and Outreach.
A recent CQC report for one of the registered care homes stated:
Feedback from relatives and staff team has been positive, and people are happy and relaxed at the Grove. A family member told us ”it feels like home”.
MacIntyre No Limits™ provides inclusive and flexible education programmes for young people aged 16-25 in Bedfordshire.
We offer two models:
Across Bedfordshire, we support 13 young people with a bespoke learning programme based on their interests, achievements, talents and aspirations, working alongside their Education, Health and Care (EHC) Plan.
MacIntyre School and Children’s Homes offer highly personalised education and care for up to 40 children and young people with severe learning disabilities and/or autism and other needs. We believe that potential is limitless and that every young person can and will ‘Achieve Above and Beyond’.
Our registered children’s home in Bedfordshire is home to five young people aged 10 to 19 who attend our nearby purpose-built MacIntyre School in Wingrave are rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted.
