We're delighted to share our 'Employees of the Month' for January. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of Adult Services, Children and Young People and Support Services and an extract from their nominations.
Maudie Simmons – Wrexham
Since Maudie became the manager the workplace atmosphere has exploded from a dreary workplace with low staff morale where staff were putting the needs of ladies we support high in priorities, but were forgetting to work as a team and forgetting to see the good in their own and each other’s work ethics and efforts in a very difficult time. The team have found Maudie approachable and good at listening and guiding; her support is helping the team to blossom again. There's a new buzz in the workplace with staff feeling appreciated and sharing a new found energy. Maudie is one in million, she wants what’s best for the ladies in the same way as the staff and has waved her magic wand to make Ty Newydd a lovely place to work again.
Kirwan Chauhan - No Limits, East Midlands
Kirwan as he is always coming up with new ideas on how we can make sessions better for the young people we support. Kirwan has sourced a new volunteering position for a young person supported, which is helping us build new relationships in the rugby community. Kirwan is always upbeat, positive and a great support for all his colleagues.
Eric Gyamfi, Children’s Home, Bedfordshire
During the Christmas period we had an outbreak of Covid with staff testing positive. Eric went the extra mile to support the team and cover all day Christmas Day and covered other shifts so that other staff could take a day off, which was really appreciated.
Claire Merrison – Senior Administrator, No Limits, Buckinghamshire
Whenever Claire has a question or query, she always tries to offer a solution or answer. Claire continually supports her area by collating information specifically in relation to Maternity and Covid-19 before checking with HR to ensure it is correct. The managers in area feel really well supported by Claire.
