Employee of the month - January 2023
We're happy to share our 'Employees of the Month' for January. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of Adult Services, Children and Young People, No Limits, and Support Services and an extract from their nominations.
Carly Morrissey, Adult Services
Carly is Area Manager for The Wirral and Wrexham. She was promoted into her new role about eighteen months ago. Carly hit the ground running and then started sprinting! She has grabbed every new challenge with both hands and always works with her managers to find solutions.
Carly has supported staff and family members through tough times emotionally and never lost focus or the passion for her staff team or the people who draw on our support. Her nomination reflects her work ethic, her unwavering commitment, and her habit of questioning everything in her pursuit of quality and outstanding support. Carly is a MacIntyre star every single month!
Alex Osei, Children and Young People
Alex is a Support Worker at one of MacIntyre’s children’s homes.
He has provided wonderful support and encouragement to both young people and to colleagues. The work the team does is extremely rewarding but it can also be stressful. Alex has a real gift for remaining calm and being emotionally supportive to colleagues at the same time as working constructively with young people.
Emma Evans, MacIntyre No Limits
Emma was recently promoted to a brand new role of Resources and Logistics Manager in our No Limits division, which provides community-based education to young people.
Emma’s new role began with the twin challenges of new staff joining at the beginning of term, at the same time as the seasonal winter issues of staff sickness. To cover this, Emma has planned and begun to implement a new system for organising staffing patterns. This ensures the very best matches for young learners and staff, while building in flexibility. Emma has worked in her own time to organise this while learning all the other elements of the new job!
Wendy Morey, Support Services
Wendy is Learning and Development Administrator at our central office.
Wendy is always helpful, cheerful and friendly. She was nominated because of her ability to solve any difficulties staff are having with MacIntyre’s online Learning Management System. Wendy can be relied on for prompt and clear answers to queries, always delivered in a positive way.
Not everyone is comfortable with technology, and Wendy makes everyone feel there’s no such thing as a stupid question.
