We're delighted to share our 'Employees of the Month' for June. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of Adult Services, Children and Young People and Support Services and an extract from their nominations.
“Sabrina goes above and beyond to make everyone at Lane End House feel cared for and respected. She always approaches new staff with such love and compassion which makes them feel part of the team from the get go. Sabrina covers shifts, takes on more hours and always put others before herself. She’s hardworking, dedicated and will always put a smile on staff faces. She fights for what is right for the people we support and will never give up. She’s amazing to work alongside and I look forward to being on shift with her as I know it will run smoothly and well”
“Beth has been working non-stop to provide consistent support to the learners in Wiltshire, supporting on the schedule every day and often multiple learners. Beth has been unwavering in her commitment to ensure that all of the learners in Wiltshire receive the support they need."
Leah received two nominations. The nominees said:
“Leah joined at the end of last year and within the first couple of months it was instantly like she had always been with us, nothing was a problem and Leah was always willing to help out when she could. Leah is a massive part of the team, always willing to help out when needed and most recently came in on her day off to support with the Ofsted visit. Leah has built amazing relationships with the young people in Maple House and always supports them to achieve amazing things and develop their independence. Leah has recently supported a visit with a young person who struggles with transitioning to a soft play area, which is an amazing achievement for them. Leah is generally a positive and funny person to be around and always supports and motivates the team."
“Leah is always on hand to offer support to the young people in Maple House as well as the staff who are there too! She is really proactive in getting things done and her handovers are thorough meaning everyone starts their shift fully informed about the day. Leah has lovely relationships with all the young people in Maple House and it’s clear that they enjoy spending time with her too.”
Sharon received three nominations. The nominees said:
“Sharon works on reception and is usually the first person visitors to the school see. She is always cheerful, welcoming and positive. Sharon is really helpful to staff and students and will often do things out of her job role. Sharon is always calm and has a very gentle manner which is positive role modelling to other staff and the young people we support. Nothing is too much trouble for Sharon and she is also very encouraging when others are unsure about taking on new challenges. She has worked exceptionally hard during the pandemic due to the need for Lateral Flow Testing and temperature checks and PPE for all visitors to the school.”
“Sharon is a smiley happy presence as visitors and staff come into the school. She is very patient and willing to help and give support to the team”
“Sharon always goes above and beyond to help people whilst on reception. She's friendly on the phone and on the reception desk. She's an asset to MacIntyre.”
