Episode 4: MacIntyre Families Podcast

3 September 2020
News

We are pleased to share that the latest episode of our MacIntyre Families podcast is now available, with a focus on talking about our mental health and wellbeing.

For the fourth episode of the series, Nicola Payne MacIntyre's Family Engagement Consultant is joined by Steve Hardy, Karina Marshall Tate and Ruwani Ampegama, co-authors of 'Introduction to Mental Health and Mental Wellbeing for Staff Supporting Adults with Intellectual Disabilities'.

"Organisations really focus on the mandatory training due to time constraints or sometimes it is resources that stops people from accessing anything other than the mandatory training. In this format, we have made the topic really accessible. There is such a need to inform people that are supporting out there."

– Ruwani Ampegama

The full episode can be streamed or downloaded below.
