MacIntyre celebrates Level 3 Achievement in Education and Training

25 March 2022
News

Huge congratulations to MacIntyre’s September 2021 class who have completed their Level 3 Award in Education and Training (EAT).

The Level 3 Award in Education and Training is not a teaching qualification; rather, it is an introduction to teaching that will provide an understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and relationships in education and training, as well as how to plan and deliver inclusive teaching/training sessions, strategies for maintaining a safe and supportive learning environment, and learning to assess and provide constructive, developmental feedback. The award is appropriate for learners who are not in a teaching position.

Emma from MacIntyre’s School said:

“This course has helped to reinforce good practice by providing theory to solidify and inform my teaching/facilitation and why we do things the way that we do in order to help meet the needs of our students.”

Nathan, a Community Teaching Facilitator from MacIntyre’s No Limits in Buckinghamshire, commented:

“This EAT course has made me much more confident in my approach and has helped me understand that everyone has different preferred ways of learning.”

Rachel Sanders, MacIntyre’s Assessor said:

“I always like to compare my students to a flower when it blooms. There’s always that sense of pride and joy seeing them all blossom into great teachers”

The achievements were celebrated last week in a ‘EAT Zoom celebration’, an online ceremony that recognises the hard work and success of those who have achieved the qualification.
