As the social care landscape adjusts to new ways of working, ever present challenges to our workforce and the people we support continue to feature highly on the agenda in our fight for improving services and improving recognition for our frontline workers. Whilst the coronavirus has wreaked havoc across our sector, we all continue to work tirelessly to improve the lives of the people we support. The recent CQC publication ‘A review of restraint, seclusion and segregation for autistic people and people with a learning disability and/or mental health conditions’ is a sobering reminder of why we fight so hard to improve the quality of life of those that need it most.
We would like to invite those who are all providing services to the complex needs and Transforming Care cohort of individuals across the country to develop a forum for us all to discuss our experiences, our successes and challenges, and form an opportunity to discuss matters of benefit to us all.
The idea of the forum is to have several key aims, which are detailed in the Terms of Reference. The aims of the forum are not exhaustive and will be led by its members on matters that affect us all and would be beneficial to discuss and prioritise.
The first meeting of this Forum will take place on Tuesday 23 February 2021 from 1 to 3pm. Please use the form below to sign up.
We will circulate the agenda nearer the date.
