Employee Benefits

Recognising and rewarding our staff and the incredible support they provide every day is very important to us at MacIntyre. Competitive pay, free sector-leading training and opportunities for progression are just some of the benefits we offer our employees.

Training and Career Progression

We are proud of the sector-leading training and development that we offer to all employees. Your training will start with a comprehensive induction programme that is tailor made to suit individual needs and working environments, but it won’t stop there.

We continue to invest in the continuing professional development of our staff. We provide all employees with ongoing, flexible learning and vocational training opportunities, membership of best practice groups on subjects such dementia, autism and health, and access to learning resources that will support you with your professional and career development.

Many of our Senior Managers started as Support Workers. As a key member of the MacIntyre team, you will have open access to all development and career progression opportunities where your skills and potential are recognised, rewarded and highly valued.

Health and Wellbeing

We take all our employees’ health and wellbeing seriously. We have a number of initiatives in place to support you and your family, including:

Generous company sick pay benefit in order to support you during ill health.

Access to a confidential support service for all employees and their immediate family members, including counselling and advice on issues such as stress, health, relationships, debt and family matters.

Health and wellbeing support through an independent Occupational Health & Rehabilitation Service.

Recommend a Friend

If you recommend someone you know to come and work with us, we give you a financial reward once they join.

Family Friendly Policies

As a family oriented organisation, we offer flexible working arrangements whenever possible.

Rewarding Exceptional Performance

Our employees provide outstanding support, care and education on a daily basis. We are therefore very proud to recognise, reward and celebrate the great achievements of our great workforce. We do this through a range of award programmes including the annual Marjorie Newton Wright Awards and our Long Service Awards, starting at just three years of service.

Death in Service

Whilst no one likes to think about passing away, it is reassuring to know that MacIntyre will pay a tax-free sum of money (twice your salary) to your chosen beneficiaries.

Pension and Savings

Saving for retirement is essential if you want the financial freedom to enjoy your later years. MacIntyre supports you by contributing to your pension scheme. Our Savings Scheme also allows all staff to save for a fixed period in order to assist with their own financial wellbeing.

MacIntyre is signed up to the Mindful Employer Charter; this means we are committed to and we take the lead in supporting the mental wellbeing of our staff. This is something we are very proud of.
