On Monday 19 November, the ‘Keep Going…Don’t Stop!’ group held their annual showcase, to reflect and share all of their achievements throughout the year. The group were met with enthusiasm and applause from over 40 people across MacIntyre, including The MacIntyre Checkers, who were thrilled to show their support.
‘Keep Going… Don’t Stop!’ was set up in 2016 and consists of several people supported by MacIntyre, who ensure that documents produced by our Health and Dementia teams are accessible for people with learning disabilities.
Introducing the group, Nicola Payne, MacIntyre’s Dementia Project Officer shared how each member had blossomed throughout 2018. The group continued to strengthen their listening skills as well as developing a solid understanding of dementia.
Presenting Andrew, one of the members of the group his medal, Nicola Payne proudly said:
“You’ve grown in confidence this year!”
Finally to celebrate their skills and personalities, the group each completed performances including; singing, dancing and presentations.
