People supported by Crosby Close, their families, staff, friends and special guests came together on Saturday 6 June to celebrate 30 years of support and achievement.
Despite the rain, the event was a joyful occasion as the Crosby Close community reflected on three decades of supporting people to live full and meaningful lives.
Guests enjoyed live music and the opportunity to look back on the history of the service, while celebrating the people who have helped make Crosby Close such a special place over the past 30 years. The event was attended by the Mayor of St Albans City and District, Councillor Matt Fisher, alongside invited guests from the local community.
A highlight of the day was the unveiling of a commemorative mosaic bench, created and donated by participants from HACRO's TurnAround programme with support from Montet Designs and Emmaus St Albans. The bench will provide a lasting reminder of the anniversary celebrations and of the strong community partnerships that have helped shape Crosby Close over the years.
The anniversary celebration was an opportunity to recognise the contribution of people supported, families, staff, volunteers and partners who have all played a part in the Crosby Close story since it opened 30 years ago.
Thank you to everyone who joined us to mark this important milestone and celebrate 30 years of making a difference.
