We're happy to share our 'Employees of the Month' for February. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of Adult Services, Children and Young People and Support Services and an extract from their nominations.
Bradd Coley - Leicester
Bradd is what I think a support worker should be and if I had to pick a person to represent the Leicester services he would be my first choice. People outside of Leicester may not know much about Bradd as he goes about his day doing what he does best without shouting about anything. He will say he is just doing the Job he loves and nothing special but a lot of other people would argue that. Bradd will go above and Beyond to help support the people he works with and he will do this as naturally as it comes natural to him, its second nature. Families and people we support will ask specifically for Bradd to work with them and we have had to stop him working on any other teams as he is in high demand and we cannot spread him any thinner even if I wanted to! Bradd has a relaxed energy about him where the people we support feel at ease with him and he will get stuck in to any activity no matter what that may be. This then also then makes family feel at ease when they know Bradd is on shift as they instantly know things will be OK no matter what the day throws at them. Bradd would never tell anyone he does an amazing job as he doesn't realise the effect he has on the people we support. Bradd is a natural support worker and I hope is journey with MacIntyre continues for many years to come.
Suzy Parsonson - No Limits East Midlands
Suzy has been unfazed since stepping up to cover for the Programme Manager, she has taken everything in her stride and maintained the quality and smooth running of the provision and maintained staff morale during uncertain times.
Nerys Marie Lowe - Children’s Home, Hertfordshire
Nerys is a support worker at Woodland View and always works tirelessly. She supports the young people to such a high standard and is also very supportive to her colleagues. Last weekend one of our young people went into crisis and hurt themselves and had to attend A&E. Nerys and I supported this young person during their visit to A&E, I couldn’t have done it without her and neither could the young person. Nerys cleaned and dressed the wound under the instruction of the medical team because the YP found it too stressful when the medical staff attempted to treat them. We witnessed high levels of challenging behaviour and Nerys dealt with this in a professional and caring manner towards the young person and her colleagues. I can’t praise Nerys enough for her work at Woodland view.
Pooja Thomas - Recruitment Administrator, Central Office
Pooja has been such a help to me with recruitment. She is easy to talk to, helpful and gets back to all my queries however small in a timely fashion. She never complains or makes me feel daft for asking the same query several times. She is friendly over the phone and email and I am so grateful of her input and she's never too busy to help/advise. Thanks Pooja I think you are brilliant :).
