Jack's making a great impression

1 July 2026
News

Jack, a learner at MacIntyre No Limits™ Oxfordshire, has been enjoying a successful work experience placement at the Eyston Arms pub since December 2025. He attends one morning each week, helping the team prepare for the busy lunchtime service.

During his placement, Jack has taken on a variety of important tasks around the pub.

Talking about his role, Jack said:

I use the hose to water all the little flowers and trees. I polish the cutlery using water and vinegar. After that, I sort them and put them into the correct storage baskets. I set up tables for people to eat lunch at. I collect logs for the fire in cold weather.

Jack's hard work and positive attitude have made a real impression on the team.

Daisy, the pub manager, said:

Jack is a superstar. I'm very happy with the work he does.

Work experience placements like this help people build confidence, learn new skills and gain valuable experience in a real workplace. Jack's success at the Eynsham Arms shows how much people can achieve when given the opportunity to demonstrate their abilities.
