Staff successes

1 March 2019
News

Today is 'Employee Appreciation Day', so we would like to take the opportunity to thank all of our fantastic staff and celebrate a few recent achievements.

Health, Dementia and Wellbeing Team

Recently, our Health, Dementia and Wellbeing Team were proud to share that they have been working on an accessible version of the Dementia Action Alliance 'Dementia Statements'.

The Dementia Statements: Easy Read is now available to download.

'Staff Member of the Month'

Every month we like to recognise the dedication and hard work by awarding one individual ‘Staff Member of the Month’. Congratulations to Senior Support Worker, Dan Oakman-Stevens who is February's 'Staff Member of the Month' for Adult Services.

Jan Kendall

Jan Kendall, a Support Worker from Worcester completed the ‘Looe Ten Miler’ on February 23 for MacIntyre! All of the funds raised will go towards our MacIntyre Memory Cafés.

Learning and Development Team

We’d also like to shine a spotlight on our Learning and Development team, who recently received praise from The City and Guilds Assessor regarding Health and Social Care qualifications that MacIntyre offers to staff.

MacIntyre has now been assessed as "no risk" in all areas for these City and Guilds qualifications (previously we held ‘A’ status) due to the robust systems that have been put in place, which is fantastic news.

Save the date!

One of the ways we celebrate the dedication of our staff is through the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards. The awards provide a fantastic opportunity to recognise, celebrate and commend many exceptional individuals, teams and volunteers across MacIntyre.

Whilst nominations have now closed, we can’t wait to celebrate all of the nominees and winners at the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards 2019 on Thursday 4 April.
