Join us for our annual Apple Day to welcome the start of Autumn
Come and celebrate the beginning of Autumn as we gather in the apple harvests for our annual Apple Day celebrations in the New Routes Community gardens as we approach the cosy season of Autumn
What you can enjoy this year:
- A host of lovely unique craft stalls and artisan food stalls to browse for that very special something.
- Come and learn all about heritage crafts such as spinning, weaving, basketry making, or making fibre from nettles.
- Or take some much needed quiet time for yourself in the Healing tent where there will be Yoga, Healing sessions. Wellbeing sessions will run throughout the day.
- A Wild Food Foraging walk and talk will be held throughout the day, join in and learn all about the wild food growing around you.
- Have a go at Apple Pressing, great for the children to learn how apple juice is made and enjoy fresh juice made straight from the apples. Come and visit the secret fairy garden too.
- There will be live music and traditional Morris dancing to enjoy the whole day long.
- The Orchard Tea Room will be open for refreshments, homemade autumn soup, with lots of homemade baked goodies as well as hotdogs. Our Apple and fruit harvests freshly picked will be available to buy on the day too. (Cash please)

Entry fee is £3 per adult and children go free.
All monies raised on the day goes towards the upkeep of the community gardens project.
