Just some of what’s going on around MacIntyre
Families Week was great!
Teams around MacIntyre invited the families of people who draw on our support to a variety of events. We celebrated with tea parties and, of course, lots of cake! We were able to improve relationships with families and reflect on how we still draw on the vision of our founders, Ken and Marjorie Newton Wright. In Warrington, they held a party (see photo) at New Routes Gardens. Joanna Booth had this to say:
"Today we celebrate here at New Routes Gardens and the Learning Centre. We are a special family, we all have the same goals, aspirations for all the people who receive our support. We want to keep people safe and in control of their own lives whilst valuing our friends our family and our neighbours and community.
This is all part of Macintyre’s DNA and has its roots in Kenneth Newton Wright’s original vision."

We walked for mental health all over MacIntyre!
Teams all across the country got out into the sunshine to walk for mental health during Mental Health Awareness Month. Special mention to Milton Keynes team who opened the MK Parks Trust Walking Festival. We had an amazing turnout, with too many others to mention here, but enjoy this photo from Southview in London.
Congrats to our L&D Team
The Learning and Development Team had an External Quality Assurance visit from City and Guilds this month. We’re delighted to share that there were no actions needed following the visit. The team received great feedback on the quality and standard of portfolios observed and their practice. A huge well done to all involved!
