In the next in our 12 Gifts of Christmas series, we're looking at the gift of Fun. Because what's life all about if it doesn't include some fun along the way?
The gift of Fun
Every year, MacIntyre celebrates the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards, named after one of our founders. These staff awards go to individuals and teams who exemplify the values set out in MacIntyre's DNA.
In 2023, the award for Volunteer of the Year was won by Karen Angell, who volunteers at our Lifelong Learning Centre in Warrington. Karen is just one of our incredibly dedicated volunteers, and she gives up her time for us regularly. This is from her nomination:
Karen is a natural with everyone. She is gentle and patient, has great banter which means there is always a lot of laughter when she's around. Nothing is too much trouble for her. She makes such a difference by giving up her own time for us.
Congratulations to Karen and all our winners.
Below is a selection of photos from the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards. (The main article photos of this series don't always feature our winners.)
