The gift of Honesty
Every year, MacIntyre celebrates the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards, named after one of our founders. These staff awards go to individuals and teams who exemplify the values set out in MacIntyre's DNA.
In 2023, the award for Inspirational Leader in Adult Services Division was won by Antoinette Kotula from Hertfordshire. Her nomination picked out her honest approach:
Since her promotion to Service Manager, Antoinette has really 'flown'. She has completed action plans to develop the service and bring the management team together, and arranged clinical supervisions for the nursing team.
She has developed great relationships with local authority officers, and with families, based on her honest and straightforward nature. Her line manager says "I love that she doesn't come to me with problems, just solutions showing she is always thinking ahead and asking what can be done better."
