The gift of being Respectful
Every year, MacIntyre celebrates the Marjorie Newton Wright Awards, named after one of our founders. These staff awards go to individuals and teams who exemplify the values set out in MacIntyre's DNA.
In 2023, the award for best Newcomer was won by Wendy Castle, a Community Teaching Facilitator at our No Limits further education provision in Oxfordshire. Wendy's nomination focused on her additional role as local wellbeing champion in which she instinctively puts a premium on respecting what is important to others:
As wellbeing champion she constantly reflects on how to support students to improve their lives. Her out of the box thinking and can do attitude have improved the quality of our educational programs, always respecting people's wishes, hopes and ambitions.
