Phoebe's colourful hairbands and Sylvie's treasured necklace might seem like small things, but they have both become part of a creative project at the St Albans Museum and Gallery.
Phoebe and Sylvie, who live in Hertfordshire, have been part of a new project with the museum.
One of the activities they took part in was a photoshoot all about accessories. Phoebe loves styling her hair, so they thought it would be fun to focus on some of her favourite, funky and colourful hairbands. Phoebe had lots of fun posing for the camera and was smiling throughout the photoshoot. It was lovely to see her enjoying the experience and feeling comfortable in front of the camera.
They also took some photographs of Sylvie's necklace, which is very special and meaningful to her. It was nice to be able to include something personal and important to Sylvie in the project.
Another activity they took part in was a group painting session. Everyone worked together on one large canvas, adding their own ideas and creativity to the same piece of artwork. It was a lovely way for everyone to spend time together, have conversations and get to know each other. Seeing the painting gradually come together as everyone contributed something different made the activity feel really special.
The project has given Sylvie and Phoebe the chance to try something new, express themselves creatively and contribute something of their own to an exhibition in their local community.
