We are expanding our team of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) specialists to help support individuals, their teams and families by helping to reduce significant barriers to wellbeing, learning – leading to living a life that makes sense to them.
PBS is a framework defined by its commitment to understanding why people behave the way they do and doing so through the use of contextual behavioural theory. PBS is about learning how a person's behaviour develops over time, as well as understanding the value it has on the individual.
By building relationships, working with the person drawing on MacIntyre’s support and their own support system (whether that be family or friends) to understanding what a concerning behaviour communicates and to help coach the team to work in the most person-centred and least-restrictive manner possible.
Dom’s and Sam’s stories illustrate the difference we make and the positive impact PBS support has had on their lives.
Do you feel you can make a difference and have extensive experience in supporting people who have a learning disability, or autistic people? Then join our team as a Positive Behaviour and Complex Support Lead.
