Careers at MacIntyre: Dan’s Story

19 October 2020
News

At MacIntyre we are all about the people we support and our workforce, who power our vision to support people with learning disabilities to live a life that makes to them. Whether you have been working with us for just a few months or 20 years, there’s always a chance to explore new opportunities with us.

Daniel Simmonds, our Area Manager for Birmingham shares how he progressed at MacIntyre, starting his career with us as a Senior Support Worker.

Daniel said:

"Working for MacIntyre for me has never been about standing still. Whether remaining in the same role with a different focus or expressing an interest in one of the many development opportunities that have become available within the organisation, my managers have always been focused on supporting me to develop my skills and utilising them where they are most needed.

I’ve had several operational roles with MacIntyre and whilst our values, our DNA and our unrelenting drive to provide excellent quality support is the common theme across all of those roles, no two days, no two transitions, no two experiences have been the same.

I would absolutely recommend MacIntyre as an employer whether you wish to develop your career into management roles, or develop your skills and be the best you can be in the role you love."
