Derbyshire – looking back and forward

13 June 2023
News

Last year

The other day some of us were looking back at what happened in Derbyshire last year, and enjoying this video

What's happening this year?

So we thought we’d catch up with everyone in Derbyshire to find out how 2023 is going.

It’s going brilliantly! Just this month so far has seen a trip to Shipley Country Park with a picnic in the sunshine, not to mention an ice-cream or three. A few days before that, we had an amazing garden party. And a trip to Trentham Monkey Forest was fun and educational for everyone – including the monkeys.

Our MacIntyre Community Roasts continue to be enjoyed by people from around Chesterfield, who meet up with old friends and make new ones.

And our Memory Cafes carry on providing support for people with dementia and their families.

Community is really important to everyone at MacIntyre in Derbyshire. We’re all stronger when we’re connected with each other.

So what’s next?

Well the next big event on the Derbyshire calendar is the Summer Fayre on 27 July at Queen’s Park. Lots of fun activities and games for everyone. If you’re in the area why not drop by?

To keep up with everything that's happening, including the latest dates for local events, do follow the Derbyshire Facebook page.

Meanwhile, we’re looking forward to hearing about what the second half of the year will bring for everyone in Derbyshire.
