At MacIntyre, we love to see the people we support smile. We know that sometimes, it's the little things that can make a huge difference. For Chris, it’s all about finding humour in the everyday.
Recently, Chris has been making a huge amount of personal progress. Not only has he been going on holidays with his mum; but he has also been focusing on his health, by walking to work twice a week.
However, staff in Milton Keynes have noticed that what really brings a smile to Chris’ face is shopping. Specifically, using the self-service machines.
Whilst many people sigh at the flash of red when the self-service machine doesn’t recognise an item, Chris couldn’t be happier.
Nicky, a Frontline Manager at MacIntyre said:
“Chris loves it when it goes wrong at the self-checkout. It really makes him laugh! It is also fantastic because it helps him be independent and purchase his own things.”
