For students, their families and staff at MacIntyre School and Children's Homes, MacFest is the perfect way to celebrate the start of the summer.

Held at MacIntyre School in Wingrave over the weekend, this year's MacFest welcomed circus acts and musical performances from staff. Festival-goers were also treated to a barbecue and delicious ice creams, whilst enjoying art made by students.

Kate Webb, MacIntyre School and Children's Homes Intensive Interaction Mentor said:

"We are always so very fortunate to receive interest from external sources who want to be involved in events like this. It is wonderful that the local community want to not only come to the event itself, but also to support us. Local businesses donate the most wonderful prizes for our raffle and we are so grateful."

"How wonderful to see young people with their families enjoying such a lovely day. Great community feeling and as always with MacIntyre, a great all-inclusive day."

Staff and students were also delighted to be presented a generous donation of £5000 from the Leighton and Linslade Rotary Club, all of which will support the play area renovation at the children's homes.
