At MacIntyre we believe that everyone has the potential to learn and we know that the people we support communicate in many different ways. One approach we use is Intensive Interaction.
We use Intensive Interaction to help people develop their confidence in communication, connecting on their own terms, to support them in feeling seen, acknowledged and understood.
Most of all, what we see, is connection. One person at a time, building relationships, and sharing connections.
To mark Intensive Interaction Week, we wanted to share a few resources and celebrate what Intensive Interaction means to us and the people we support.
You can read more about exactly why Intensive Interaction works at MacIntyre, here.
If you want to find out more about Intensive Interaction, we are hosting an ‘All about Intensive Interaction’ group, Thursday 17 October, from 10am-12pm at Great Holm in Milton Keynes.
Keep an eye across social media and the website for everything that celebrates Intensive Interaction Week.
