Since the beginning of the pandemic, the world has become full of uncertainty with many feeling cautious to step out. Like many others, James, who is supported by MacIntyre, knows this all too well. As an avid fan of Manchester United, he has been longing to watch his favourite team live at Old Trafford.
However, recently, James finally had the opportunity to watch Manchester United play against Southampton and he couldn’t have been more excited. Along with his keyworker Paula, they both made the long trip from Milton Keynes to Manchester with James smiling ear to ear throughout the entire journey.
When discussing the anticipation of the match, frontline manager Sarah said:
“We booked the tickets before Christmas and then James’ family purchased some new memorabilia such as coat and hat to take with him. Prior to the trip staff were having to positively encourage James to get up on a morning but with a week until kick off James started to get himself up at around 6.30am as he was preparing to go.”
She added:
“We got hospitality tickets which meant he could use a private lounge and it came with food and drinks. Shame they didn’t win,! with the score ending 1-1.”
Despite the result, it was still all smiles for James as he was able to enjoy a wonderful experience and cheered on his favourite team beyond the final whistle.
