Raising £50,000 will completely revolutionise all eight flats into modern, comfortable, accessible and therapeutic spaces.

The team have developed a plan of what they need to make this happen:

  • £12,000 to repurpose the two large communal gardens into spaces people want to use. We would like to purchase garden furniture, benches, new sheds, garden tools, a summer house and awnings to provide shade.

  • £16,000 on indoor furniture so that we can replace sofas, chairs and dining area furniture that have all seen better days with comfortable and accessible furniture that meets the needs of the people who will use it.

  • £22,000 on sensory equipment to change to look and feel of the homes into therapeutic and calming spaces. We would like to purchase lighting, tactile and engaging resources such as a magic carpet to improve the environment people we support live in.

MacIntyre receive funding to provide for core areas of care for people with learning disabilities. However, it is the 'extras' made possible by fundraising that can lead to new a better quality of life for the, young people and adults MacIntyre supports in London.

Alaina Cornish, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at MacIntyre said:

“MacIntyre is reaching out to all Londoners to support our cause. We have a target of £50,000 and hope to inspire individuals, teams and workplaces to help us make a huge difference in their local community. People can do all types of activities to raise money for us from cake sales to sponsored runs, gala balls to head shaves as every penny makes a difference!.”

All donations received will be split equally across the two properties. However, if you would like your donation to be allocated against a specific item or home please donate and then contact us at [javascript protected email address] with details of your donation so that we can correctly ring-fence your gift.
