Today we're celebrating David Knight from Leicester, winner of the Learning Advocate category at MacIntyre's annual staff awards.
Keeping on learning is part of MacIntyre‘s DNA. This award is for a person or group who have really embraced the value of learning.
In David's case, he has shown both his colleagues and Robin, who he supports, what can be achieved by embracing learning. He's shown how the best learning isn't top-down, but an equal exploration which echoes the best characteristics of coproduction.
One of David's nominations was from Robin himself, and this is what he said:
He is really fun
He makes things fun and I feel safe with him
He made me a book about food and got it printed for me
He does quizzes with me
He helped me to get an exercise bike
He is good at air guitar
David wasn't able to attend the awards ceremony, so this photo is of him and Robin together.
