Christmas Cheer to Local Women and Children in Bedford #ConnectAtChristmas

7 December 2024
News

This Christmas, MacIntyre Bedford and the Women’s Centre have joined forces to spread joy to women and children in need. Their inspiring Christmas Gift Giving initiative invites members of the community to take a tag from a festive tree, each representing a present requested by a woman or child supported by the charity. Volunteers replace the tag with the thoughtful gift they’ve chosen, ensuring everyone gets a present this holiday season.

Katie who is leading on the projected expressed her gratitude:

“Within a few days, the tags are gone and replaced with presents. The overwhelming support from the community has been truly heartwarming.”

The initiative has received generous support from Tesco Extra, which has donated 30 toys for children, alongside contributions from other local businesses.

For those who wish to participate, there are two convenient drop-off points:

• Life Long Learning- My Time, 4 Goldington Road, Bedford, MK40 3NF

• No Limits- 37 High Road, Cotton End Bedford, MK45 3AA

This collaboration highlights the spirit of giving and the power of community during the festive season. Every gift donated brings a little more light and happiness to families who need it most.

If you’d like to get involved, head to one of the drop-off points and make someone’s Christmas truly special.

Be sure to follow us on MacIntyre In Bedford to keep up with our latest news and events in your local area. Together, we can make this holiday season—and every season—one filled with connection, joy, and support for those who need it most.

#ConnectAtChristmas with MacIntyre. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
