On 29th June, a team of colleagues from MacIntyre No Limits took on the Race for Life, in order to raise money towards life saving research into cancer treatment.
Whilst we are a charity ourselves, we believe charity begins at home and it is important to recognise the importance of what other charities do. Too many of us have had personal connections to people suffering with cancer diagnoses, whether that be through our friends, family or indeed our colleagues.
An 8 strong team took on the Welwyn & Hatfield event whilst 3 of the team took on the event further North in Loughborough. Having been in training for a month or so leading up to the event, the team took on the challenge in gloriously sunny skies as the weather certainly did its bit to support the team.
With some running, some jogging and others walking there was real team spirit from start to finish with each colleague spurring the others on from the finish line. There was also a glass or two of bubbles to celebrate!
So far the team have raised over £1700 for Cancer Research UK through a combination of online and offline donations. If you wanted to make a donation, please click here and show your appreciation for our team.
