The Cherries turn 30

22 August 2019
News

Recently, The Cherries in Flackwell Heath celebrated their 30th birthday in style by holding a party to remember. Staff, people supported and the local community shared stories, danced and enjoyed a raffle in celebration, raising over £500 as a result.

Caroline, Frontline Manager at The Cherries said:

"What a fantastic day! The Cherries certainly celebrated in style. So much support, lots of involvement from the people we support. It was great hearing stories from people who live in the village, about The Cherries and the people we support."

She added:

"We were overwhelmed with the amount of support we received from the community, from donations of raffle prizes leading up to the event to attending and lending a hand on the day. We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who donated a prize for our raffle and a big thank you to Christ Church for the loan of tables and chairs and their continuous support."

"It was lovely to speak with people who live in the village, who have known some of the people we support from years ago, sharing stories and celebrating 30 years of care and support."
