Time for Tea

29 June 2018
News

Last week was our annual Time for Tea fundraising event and all week people were holding tea parties to raise money for people we support.

Throughout the country, from Warrington to Chesterfield to Essex there were beautiful cakes being made (and bought) to share. It was a fantastic chance for everyone to come together, but for many drinking tea just wasn’t enough. There were ‘guess how many tea bags in the jar’ competitions, tea bag tosses and opportunities to make teacup hats.

In our Central Office in Milton Keynes, several members of staff submitted their best bakes for the annual ‘Bake Off’. Two expert guest judges from Puratos UK, one of MacIntyre’s corporate partners judged for taste and texture while MacIntyre’s Trustee Rosemary Hart judged for appearance

Bake-Off Winners

Best Appearance

Jake’s Vanilla and Honeycomb cake

Best Taste

Allison’s Lemon Meringue Cupcakes

Whether you bought cakes or baked them, drank tea, or coffee; it was certainly a week to remember.

More about our supporters

Support from the community

Recently, we have been overwhelmed by the support we have received from local communities; from fundraising efforts to acts of kindness.

This March, there's a chance to double your donation to MacIntyre with MK Community Foundation's Mad March Match Challenge.
