We were delighted to welcome David Johnston OBE MP, Minister for Children, Families and Wellbeing, to MacIntyre’s Quest Academy in Rugby yesterday.
The Minister joined one of the Food Tech classes where he met the students; he also met with the Principal and a number of colleagues and then made an announcement for the press on the allocation of the SEND Wave 3 Schools.
MacIntyre Academies is delighted to have been successful in our application for two new special schools where we will be working alongside Leicestershire and Worcestershire local authorities to open new schools in Quorn and Malvern respectively in September 2027.
Andrew Moran, Interim Head of MacIntyre Academies said:
“We are thrilled to have been awarded two new schools in this allocation. MacIntyre Academies already runs four successful academies and we are looking forward to adding these two new schools to the MacIntyre Academies family.”
Sarah Burslem, CEO at MacIntyre said:
“In 2012 MacIntyre seized the opportunity to expand its contribution to the lives of young people, and further influence the education sector by establishing and sponsoring a Multi-Academy Trust. We are delighted that the Trust continues to go from strength to strength which is a testament to the commitment of all our teams.”
MacIntyre Academies’ vision is for all young people to have confidence and belief in their potential, be ready for a successful adult life and connected where they live. For more information MacIntyre Academies - Home
