Understanding Dementia and Learning Disabilities

25 May 2018
News

To mark the fifth day of Dementia Action Week, the team behind our award-winning Dementia Project have produced a detailed e-book ‘Wellbeing for Life: Dementia and Learning Disability’.

With approximately 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, the resource provides valuable insight into the types of dementia, symptoms and an insight into living with a learning disability and dementia. It aims to help families and health and social carers comprehend the unique links between learning disabilities and dementia; specifically focusing on Down’s Syndrome and Alzheimer’s disease.
