Derbyshire
In Chesterfield we offer support for adults in our Learning Hubs in Holmewood, Queen’s Park and Old Whittington and are seeking to expand our supported living offer in the area.
The Community Hubs offer meaningful and social activities for local people, many of whom have been friends for years. As well as day time activities, the Hubs run regular community events including a Reminiscence Café. Activities that people enjoy include a regular exercise and (gentle) martial arts club, plus occasional big events such as a talent show and Autumn Ball.
Our newest Community Hub space was opened in Holmewood in summer of 2023. It's a small, friendly space that can be booked for meetings, used to share information and signposting to other local activities. If you'd like to find out more, use the contact form at the bottom of this page.
Some of the activities which have taken place in 2023 are captured in this short animation
