As the school year drew to a close, we came together once again to celebrate the young people in true MacIntyre style, with a prom that was as special and memorable as ever.
Thanks to the creativity and dedication of the incredible teams, every detail was thoughtfully planned. From the beautifully dressed tables with floral centrepieces to the photo booth, and the all-important messy and sensory play stations - every element reflected the choices and personalities of the young people we support.
Dalia, Holly, and Jude were very much at the heart of the celebration. As always, their voices were heard and respected throughout the planning process. Jude chose not to wear a suit, instead donning a brilliant t-shirt designed to look like one. Holly sparkled in her tiara, ‘princess’ dress, and glittery shoes. And Dalia made a grand entrance in a flowing dress and matching shoes, turning heads as we all admired her elegance.
Our three leavers had one clear request: a buffet! And that’s exactly what they got - a delicious banquet enjoyed by all. Dalia, Jude and Holly also decided what better way to celebrate their time at MacIntyre School than arriving in their familiar school vehicles, lovingly decorated with ribbons and bows?
Gloriously ordinary moments like these, shaped by real choices and shared joy, are what make lasting memories. So many people contributed in so many ways, and every gesture, big or small, was rooted in kindness and care.
Thank you to everyone who played a part in making this celebration truly unforgettable. Your support made all the difference.
