This year’s Marjorie Newton Wright Award in the Volunteer category went to the Eco Green Car Park Team in Warrington.
Supported by MacIntyre Great Communities, a team of volunteers came together to transform a disused car park into a green space with things to do and people to do it with!
As a group with different backgrounds and skills they have worked together to make the car park into a space for growing and a place of beauty. The group is truly inclusive and recognise each other’s skills. They have found out what people around them want and have worked with local businesses and each other to make the space look lovely and be able to be used productively.
