We're happy to share our 'Employees of the Month' for August. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Services, Children and Young People, No Limits, and Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Amy Kurkus – Adult Services Evesham
I have only recently had the pleasure of speaking to Amy who is the Senior Support Practitioner at Abbey House. Unfortunately over the last few days several staff members tested positive for COVID, including the Service Manager. Amy remained level headed throughout, putting plans into place, getting cover for shifts and working two thirteen hour shifts herself over the weekend. Amy really stepped up to support everyone and lead by example.
Lidia Collura- Children and Young People - Wingrave
Lidia has amazing and positive relationships with all the young people she supports and is always so engaged with them. She always brings the young person she is supporting to any extracurricular events and acts as a positive role model joining in. I have witnessed Lidia managing a particularly busy shift but handling it with ease, arranging for all young people to complete activities, sorting out travel home as well as looking after two new summer placement students. Fabulous work Lidia!
Lucy Gyau-Awuag - No Limits Buckinghamshire
Lucy joined us as a Programme Coordinator six months ago and it was as if she had been with Macintyre for ages (in a good way!). She is great with the learners and they really open up to her. She always has time to listen and help her staff team and is always smiling throughout the day.
Jane Avramovic - Support Services, Learning and Development Team
Jane works tirelessly to support staff at our residential school to gain their Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare. This is an Ofsted requirement for staff within two years of starting their job. Part of the requirements of the qualification are for observations of practice. Jane goes in at all times of the day and night to ensure these are completed at a time suitable for the staff member.
Jane offers staff one to one support so they can achieve the level of detail required. Jane has helped more than one person to meet their qualification deadlines by constructive coaching and action plans.
Jane is eager to learn herself and often asks for feedback to look at what she could do better to ensure she is constantly improving her work practice.
