We're happy to share our 'Employees of the Month' for June. Thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate.
Below are the names of the winners in the categories of MacIntyre Adult Services, Children and Young People, No Limits, and Support Services, together with an extract from their nominations.
Phillip Hayes - Adult Services - Leicester
Phillip has been supporting a young man through a very difficult time in his life, he has shown compassion and motivation to help the family as a whole. Phillip has built a strong relationship with this young man and has helped him learn lots of new skills, from changing a motorbike tyre to helping with English and Maths work. Phillip has stepped in to provide extra support at a time when it was very much needed.
Jules Fox - Children and Young People - Wingrave
Jules took responsibility for encouraging us all to take part in our celebration of Pride Month 2023 by prompting us to show a 'flood of colour'. She herself prefers to dress in black but went all out with fluorescent laces in her shoes, on her clothes and she wore a colourful hat. This is way out of her comfort zone, and she looked fab! Her enthusiasm rubbed off on others and the school and children's home was awash with colour. She was also very creative in designing colourful acitvities for our Friday afternoon enrichment activities. An example was a 'random act of kindness' bowl with suggestions such as give someone a high five, smile at someone in the corridor. All things the young people we support could participate in. Fantastic creative thinking and Jules spent a lot of time putting these ideas into practice.
Eva Viloria - No Limits - Buckinghamshire
Eva has always supported students with a smile on her face. She works with many students who can present behaviours that challenge, however the support Eva provides has a positive effect on how the young people deal with change to routine. Eva has never said no to working with anyone and has often accepted last minute changes. Although working with students who she has never supported before, she still goes out of her way to try and engage them in the sessions. Eva is a great member of staff.
Lynn Callier - Support Services
Lynn's assistance and patience are exceptional, especially as her workload is continuously full on. She is a very approachable person in all aspects of communication and is enthusiastic to help by sharing her knowledge of the eLearning (LMS) system. She works to each individual's level of ability which in turn enables everyone to work more effectively. Her experience has gone a long way to improve MacIntyre’s efficiency in training events.
